Virtual Desktop

Want to take your multi-tasking and take it to a whole other level? I bring you virtual desktops. Virtual desktops can be used to segment your workload or create that inner work-life balance on your computer. This helps you by parting out your work and personal apps so you can stay focus or take a quick personal break to check out what the outside world is up to on social media. The way you do it is by clicking on the Task View button and simply drag and drop your open apps.

Undo anything, anywhere

One of our favourite computer tips is being able to ‘undo’ pretty much anything, anywhere! The undo function is handy even outside of Microsoft Word, you know.

On your keyboard, press CTRL + Z to undo your latest action. You can undo all kinds of actions, from the last thing you typed to that important file you accidentally just deleted!

Plus, here’s a bonus round: you can redo your undo by pressing CTRL + Y!

Quick Access

If you’ve used any version of Windows since Windows 7, you’ve doubtlessly noticed a small button in the right-hand corner of your screen. This is the Show Desktop button, and it’s an absolute game-changer for Windows users. Click on the button to go back to your desktop regardless of the program you’re using – nothing more, nothing less. It’s the kind of simple functionality that will allow you to be more efficient and access programs without having to remember to close out every other window you’re already using.
